Detectives have charged a man who allegedly robbed and assaulted a woman at an Acacia Ridge business on Monday (July 18).
It will be alleged just before 9am, the man entered the Beaudesert Road business before engaging with the female employee of the business.
The man then grabbed the woman and forced her into another room before taking several of the woman’s personal items.
The man then assaulted her before fleeing the scene on foot.
After information was received from a member of the public, a 28-year-old Acacia Ridge man was charged with sexual assault, attempt to commit rape, deprivation of liberty, armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and attempted fraud.
He will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on July 21.
