REVOKATION: PSPA declaration, Inala

Update: The earlier PSPA at Inala encompassing Altair Street, Delphinus Street and Bellatrix Street has been revoked. All occupants from the Delphinus Street home have been accounted for and no one was injured. Investigations into the cause of the blaze remain ongoing.

Earlier: Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) at Inala following a house fire on Delphinus Street this morning, Thursday November 11 around 9am.

The exclusion zone encompasses Altair Street, Delphinus Street and Bellatrix Street.

The fire is contained to one home and multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews are on scene, with surrounding homes evacuated as a precaution.

Residents within the exclusion zone must remain indoors and keep windows closed and respiratory medication nearby, if necessary. Police will evacuate residents within the exclusion zone if necessary.

Motorists travelling in the area must stay out of the exclusion zone while emergency services respond.
