Property offender appeal, South Brisbane

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a man involved in a series of property offences throughout South Brisbane this month.

On August 2, police received reports that a man gained entry into an Effingham Street address in Tarragindi around 11pm, stole car keys from the living room and fled the scene, stealing a medium blue 2013 Toyota Corolla Hatchback with Queensland registration 897 SYZ.

The following day, CCTV captured the man driving the car into a Dutton Park Service Station on Annerley Road around 8.30am where he failed to pay for fuel.

The vehicle was also seen driving in convoy with a blue Mazda CX-9 Queensland registration 073 YHN also believed to be stolen.

On August 6, police received reports of an attempted burglary at a Camp Hill home where security cameras captured the man.

The stolen vehicle is linked to a theft of number plates 761 WOT in Annerley. Police believe these plates are now being used on the stolen Corolla.

The man is also suspected of several burglary offences in the Camp Hill and Seven Hills areas.

The man is believed to be in his 20s, is described as 175cm tall with dark complexion, dark hair and a small build.
