A Malanda woman has died following a single-vehicle rollover at Lakeland yesterday (September 7).
Initial investigations indicate around 3.30pm, a Toyota Hilux was travelling in a northerly direction on Hurse Road when it left the roadway and rolled.
A 56-year-old woman and the sole occupant of the vehicle sustained significant injuries and died at the scene.
The Cooktown Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Anyone who witness the incident or has dashcam footage should contact police.
