On July 26, 2022, Dallas Police arrested Jaleel Sheehy, 25, in the June 23, 2022, assault on North Central Expressway.
Sheehy was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for misdemeanor assault and charged with an additional count of misdemeanor assault.
Detectives identified Sheehy as the suspect after an anonymous tip was called in.
Through an investigation, detectives confirmed Sheehy as the suspect.
He was taken to Dallas County Jail.
Preliminary information
On July 23, 2022, at approximately 12:15 am, officers were flagged down by the two female victims at 3790 Cedarplaza Ln. Victim #1 stated she was driving her vehicle in the 2400 block of North Central Expressway, northbound, with victim #2. Victim #1 stated this is when her vehicle was sideswiped by an unknown suspect driving a dark-colored vehicle. Victim #1 then turned on her hazard lights, as did the suspect vehicle, to pull over. When victim #1 got out of her vehicle to exchange information with the Black male suspect, he began getting hostile and assaulted victim #1 by punching her. Victim #2 then got out of the car to help victim#1, and this is when the unknown suspect punched and assaulted victim #2. The unknown suspect then got back into their vehicle and left the location. The victim declined medical treatment at the scene. This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 132514-2022.
